Workshops & Events
Learning and experiencing art is what we at Artsworth do. By providing unique workshops to our community members, whether they are children, teenagers, or adults, we are able to open the doors to creativity and show all who wish to learn about the beauty of crafting high quality work with your hands and heart. Workshops are held at 25 Pine Street and range from learning about how to manipulate molten glass to how to solder metal to how to sculpt out of clay or fiber. Our goal is to remain open to suggestions and ideas of how to meet the interests and needs of our community by providing a space for all teachers to share their craft with students of all ages. We hope that if you have a great idea that you wish to share with others, that you will come to Artsworth, share our space and share with us. Below you will find a list of current offerings: check back as our list is always changing! Teach a workshop!

During Jolene’s tenure with the company, Jill McGowan was a guest designer on Martha Stewart TV and appeared in local and national media. Jolene led the effort to increase online sales by championing the launch of the company’s first website and subsequently directing a successful social media retail marketing campaign. In 2010, Jill McGowan, Inc. opened their flagship store in Freeport, Maine.
Professional Development – All levels welcome.
Workshop participants will leave the 2 hour workshop with their own Mailchimp account and a completed promotional flier designed and created in Adobe Spark featuring their work or business. All of this will be accomplished in one workshop setting the participant up for future promotions.

Please join us for this wonderful summer event! We are excited to help organize the thirteenth annual Northeast Harbor Neighborhood House Invitational Arts and Crafts Show.
The curators, Jodie Aragona and Linda Perrin, select a house full of distinguished artisans in a variety of mediums to participate in this "not to be missed" cultural event on Mount Desert Island, Maine. In the beauty of the historic Neighborhood House, an elegant atmosphere is created where one can find artisan made housewares, wearable art, sculpture or gifts for friends back home.
This show has a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, with no admission charge for the public. We kick off the annual gathering with a Thursday evening wine and cheese opening.
