Workshops & Events
Learning and experiencing art is what we at Artsworth do. By providing unique workshops to our community members, whether they are children, teenagers, or adults, we are able to open the doors to creativity and show all who wish to learn about the beauty of crafting high quality work with your hands and heart. Workshops are held at 25 Pine Street and range from learning about how to manipulate molten glass to how to solder metal to how to sculpt out of clay or fiber. Our goal is to remain open to suggestions and ideas of how to meet the interests and needs of our community by providing a space for all teachers to share their craft with students of all ages. We hope that if you have a great idea that you wish to share with others, that you will come to Artsworth, share our space and share with us. We are so happy to invite you to a big ol' community celebration on Saturday, December 16th. All day, Atlantic Art Glass and Artsworth will be alive with fiery creativity and we hope you will join us.
Returning after a several year absence, we are looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming you to an event full of fiery energy and creativity! Hosted on one of the shortest, darkest days of our year, the Fire Gathering encourages us all to hold the light and welcome in the Winter season. FireGathering 2023 is a day to celebrate the winter solstice like an artist and with artists!!
At 25 Pine St., Ellsworth, ME we will be doing what we love in the studio - blowing glass, blacksmithing, soldering, and having fun with you.This open studio event is our way of saying "Hey neighbors! Let's have fun while enjoying community and creativity together as we beat back the cold and dark of approaching winter." Let's take some time to visit, reconnect, meet some new friends, tell summer stories, and share winter plans. In Narnia, our brick warehouse, we are hosting a marketplace featuring work by local artisans and it is a great opportunity to get last minute Holiday gifts for loved ones or for yourself!
Throughout the day there will be music playing and art being created and we ask you to participate, ask questions, and have fun! A community-made glass art piece will be made during the day and we hope you love being a part of its creation.
