    Introduction to Pure Silver Clay

    10:00AM-3:00PMArtsworth, 25 Pine Street, Ellsworth, ME 04605

$130. includes a tool kit and all materials

Precious Metal Clay is a clay-like compound consisting of powdered silver in an organic binder. It can be formed and textured using simple tools to make earrings, pendants and other jewelry. When fired the organic binder burns off and the metal particles sinter leaving pure silver. It is fun and easy to work with.

A basic tool kit and packet of PMC3 are included in the class price. Students will go home with at least one finished piece of jewelry.

Bring to Class: notebook, pencil, ideas and curiosity. If you have things you would like to use to texture your work bring those too.

The Instructor-Janelle Delicata is a Certified PMC Instructor and local artist and small business owner living in Blue Hill, Maine. She received a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and an MFA in Weaving & Textile Design at Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of American Craft with a minor in Jewelry & Metals.

She sells her jewelry in local shops and galleries and at selected fine craft shows in the New England area. She also exhibits fine art mixed media work in many venues.
