Ukrainian Egg Decorating (Psanky) Workshop with Kaitlyn Miller

Come learn the basics of Ukrainian egg decorating, otherwise known as Psanky. Working with traditional designs or those of your own creation, this method involves working in front of a candle, drawing on a raw egg with hot beeswax and using a series of dye baths much like batik. The results are vibrant, colorful, and detailed decorations. Ukrainian legend says that as long as Psanky are being made, good will prevail over evil in the world.
